SUWASA JOINS ALL EMPLOYEES IN TANZANIA TO CELEBRATE WORKERS' DAY

Employees of the Singida Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SUWASA) have joined all Tanzanian workers to celebrate International Workers' held regionally at the Old Ikungi Stand Stadium, Singida, on May 1, 2024.
The Regional Head of Singida Halima Dendego, who was the Guest of Honor in the Ceremony, speaking to the workers, has instructed all employers to ensure that the Workers' Councils are held according to the work procedure in order to identify the challenges of the workers, in order to bring efficiency in the performance, she has also instructed the employers not to prevent workers from joining workers unions.
Ms. Dendego has said that she has received some requests for workers submitted by the Tanzania Confederation of Trade Unions (TUCTA) with a total of 12 trade unions in Tanzania, and promised to submit them for solutions.
Speaking in the field, the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions (TUCTA) Ms. Agnes Lucas has thanked Hon. President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan by setting up good infrastructure for employees for better performance. He has also asked the Government to work on the request for promotion of Grades and salaries for employees as salaries are the source of livelihood of the employee in all their income, likewise he has asked the Government to make improvements in the pension calculator.
In the Ceremony, SUWASA received a gift of a certificate of recognition for Participation in the preparation of the Activity received by the Managing Director of SUWASA Sebastian Warioba, either a total of 4 employees from SUWASA received a gift of 500,000/= shillings each and a certificate of Strong Worker.
These celebrations with the slogan that says "Increase in Salary, is the basis of better benefits against the difficult conditions of Life" have been held nationally in the region of Ausha where the guest of honor was the Vice President Hon. Dr. Phillip Mpango.

Watumishi wa Mamlaka ya Majisafi na Usafi wa Mazingira Singida (SUWASA) wameungana na Wafanyakazi wote Tanzania kusherehekea siku ya wafanyakazi Duniani Mei Mosi, iliyofanyika kimkoa katika Uwanja vya Stendi ya Zamani Ikungi, Singida, tarehe 1 Mei 2024.

Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Singida Halima Dendego, ambaye ndiye alikuwa Mgeni Rasmi katika Sherehe hizo akiongea na wafanyakazi ameagiza waajiri wote kuhakikisha Mabaraza ya Wafanyakazi yanafanyika kulingana na utaratibu wa kazi kwa kusudi la kutambua changamoto za wafanyakazi, ili kuweza kuleta ufanisi katika utendaji pia amewaelekeza waajiri kuto wazuia wafanyakazi kujiunga katika vyama vya wafanyakazi.

Bi. Dendego amesema amepokea baadhi ya maombi ya wafanyakazi yaliyowasilishwa na Shirikisho la Vyama vya Wafanyakazi Tanzania (TUCTA) chenye jumla ya vyama 12 vya wafanyakazi Tanzania, na kuahidi kuziwasilisha kwa ajili ya kufanyiwa kazi.

Akizungumza katika uwanja huo Mwenyekiti wa Shirikisho la Vyama vya Wafanyakazi (TUCTA) Bi. Agnes Lucas ametoa shukrani kwa Mhe. Rais wa Jamuhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Dkt. Samia Suluhu Hassan kwa kuweka Miundombinu mizuri kwa wafanyakazi kwa utendaji bora. Pia ameomba Serikali kufanyia kazi ombi la upandishaji wa Madaraja na mishahara kwa wafanyakazi kwani mishahara ndio chanzo cha kujikimu cha mtumishi katika mapato yake yote, halikadhalika ameomba Serikali kufanya maboresho katika kikokotoo.

Katika Sherehe hizo SUWASA ilipokea zawadi ya cheti cha utambuzi wa Kushiriki katika maandalizi ya Shughuli hiyo kilichopokelewa na Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa SUWASA Sebastian Warioba, aidha Jumla ya wafanyakazi 4 kutoka SUWASA walipokea zawadi ya shilingi laki 5 kila mmoja na cheti cha Mfanyakazi Hodari.

Sherehe hizi zilizobeba kauli mbiu inayosema “Nyongeza ya Mshahara, ni msingi wa mafao bora dhidi ya hali ngumu ya Maisha” zimefanyika kitaifa katika mkoa wa Ausha ambapo Mgeni rasmi alikuwa Makamu wa Rais Mhe. Dkt. Phillip Mpango.
