SUWASA HANDS OVER THE WATER SERVICE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN KITOPE
SUWASA YAKABIDHI MRADI WA UBORESHAJI HUDUMA YA MAJI KITOPE

The Singida Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SUWASA) has completed the implementation of the Kitope Water Project and officially handed over the water service project to the residents of Kitope.
The handover ceremony took place between SUWASA officer Mkami Magesa, who supervised the implementation of the project, and the Chairperson of Kitope neighborhood, Paschal Kimu.
Speaking during the handover, Mr. Kimu expressed his deep gratitude to Hon. President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for bringing the water project to the community. He stated that since independence, Kitope had never had access to clean water services, but now, safe and clean water has finally reached the area. He also thanked various leaders, including the SUWASA Director, Sebastian Warioba, for ensuring that water services reach Kitope.
Despite the celebrations, Magesa urged the residents to actively participate in maintaining the infrastructure of the project, which is valued at 49 million Tanzanian shillings, so that it can continue to benefit them.
As part of the project, SUWASA laid 3" diameter pipes over a distance of 3 kilometers, constructed a water tower, installed a 10,000-liter water tank to supply one kiosk that serves 6,967 residents, and built four chambers for control valves.
Mamlaka ya Majisafi na Usafi wa Mazingira Singida (SUWASA) imekamilisha utekelezaji wa Mradi wa Maji wa Kitope na imekabidhi mradi huo wa Uboreshaji Huduma ya Maji kwa Wakazi wa Kitope.
Makabidhiano hayo yamefanyika kati ya Afisa wa SUWASA aliyekuwa akisimamia utekekelezaji wa mradi huo Mkami Magesa na Mwenyekiti wa Mtaa wa Kitope Paschal Kimu.
Ndg. Kimu akizungumza katika makabidhiano hayo amesema anamshukuru sana Mhe. Rais Dkt Samia Suluhu Hassan kwa kuwaletea Mradi wa Maji, kwani tangu Uhuru hawakuwahi kuwa na huduma ya majisafi lakini sasa huduma ya majisafi na salama imefika kitope. Pia amewashukuru viongozi mbalimbali pamoja na Mkurugenzi wa SUWASA Sebastian Warioba kwa kuhakikisha huduma ya maji inafika Kitope.
Aidha pamoja na furaha hiyo Magesa amewasihi wakazi hao kushiriki katika kutunza miundombinu ya mradi huo, wenye thamani ya shilingi milioni 49 ili uweze kuendelea kuwasaidia.
Katika Mradi huo, SUWASA imelaza mabomba yenye kipenyo cha 3" kwa urefu wa kilomita 3, imejenga mnara na kuweka tanki la maji la lita 10,000 kwa ajili ya kioski 1 kinachohudumia wakazi 6967 pamoja na ujenzi wa chemba nne kwa ajili ya vizuizi.
