MWENGE WA UHURU 2025 LAYS THE FOUNDATION STONE FOR A PROJECT OF VISIMA 5 IN SINGIDA MUNICIPAL

The National leader of Uhuru Torch 2025, Mr. Ismail Ali Ussi, has approved the laying of the foundation stone for the 5 Boreholes Project in the Singida Urban area, Ipungi-Kisasida Unyambwa, being implemented by SUWASA on July 22, 2025.
Reading the project report, the Acting Director of Water Supply and Sanitation, Engineer Lunango Muwelu, stated that the project, valued at 478.8 million Tanzanian Shillings, began in November 2024 and is expected to be completed in December 2025. Currently, the project is 60% complete. The project is being executed by two contractors: M/S Derile Co. LTD, which is drilling the 5 boreholes, and J.A Contractors (Civil & Building) Co. LTD, which is constructing 5 water collection points.
Mr. Ussi expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project and approved the laying of the foundation stone.
Additionally, he praised the Ministry of Water, led by the Minister of Water, Hon. Jumaa Aweso, for the excellent work of the SUWASA and RUWASA institutions in implementing projects of high quality and appropriate standards.
He also congratulated the Managing Director of SUWASA, Mr. Sebastian Warioba, for the good work done in constructing the project and explained that this project has solved the significant water challenges in the Ipungi area.
On the other hand, the National leader of Uhuru Torch in 2025 congratulated the Director of the Singida Municipal Council for his excellent cooperation with leaders of institutions in Singida, particularly SUWASA and RUWASA.
Furthermore, he urged the residents of Ipungi to maintain the water infrastructure since the construction of this project is part of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s efforts to fulfill her promise of providing 95% urban water coverage and 85% rural water coverage.
This project is being implemented in 5 boreholes located in the areas of Unyianga, Kibata-Mtamaa, Kisasida-Unyambwa, Unyamikumbi, and Uhamaka. The slogan for the 2025 Mwenge wa Uhuru walk is “Come Forward to Participate in the 2025 General Elections Peacefully and Calmly.”

Kiongozi wa mbio za Mwenge wa Uhuru Kitaifa 2025 Ndg. Ismail Ali Ussi ameridhia kuwekwa jiwe la Msingi, katika mradi wa Visima 5 Vya Jimbo la Singida Mjini eneo la Ipungi - Kisasida Unyambwa, unaotekelezwa na SUWASA leo tarehe 22 Julai 2025.
Akisoma taarifa ya Mradi Kaimu Mkurugenzi wa Usambazaji Maji na Usafi wa Mazingira Mhandisi Lunango Muwelu, amesema Mradi huo wenye thamani ya shilingi milioni 478.8 ambao ulianza mwezi Novemba 2024 na unatarajiwa kukamilika mwezi Desemba 2025, ambapo kwa sasa umefikia asilimia 60 ya utekelezaji wake. Mradi unatekelezwa na wakandarasi wawili ambao ni M/S Derile Co. LTD ambaye anachimba visima 5 vya maji na J. A contractors (civil & building) Co. LTD ambaye anajenga vituo 5 vya kuchotea maji.
Ndg. Ussi amesema ameridhishwa na hatua iliyofikiwa ya utekelezaji na ameridhia kuweka Jiwe la Msingi.
Halikadhalika ameipongeza Wizara ya Maji inayoongozwa na Waziri wa Maji Mhe. Jumaa Aweso kwa utendaji mzuri wa Taasisi za SUWASA na RUWASA, katika utekelezaji wa Miradi yenye ubora na viwango stahiki. Pia amempongeza Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa SUWASA Sebastian Warioba kwa kazi nzuri iliyofanyika ya ujenzi wa mradi na kueleza kuwa mradi huo umeondoa changamoto kubwa ya maji eneo la Ipungi.
Kwa upande mwingine, kiongozi wa mbio za Mwenge Kitaifa 2025 ametoa pongezi kwa Mkurugenzi wa Manispaa ya Singida kwa ushirikiano mkubwa alionao na Viongozi wa Taasisi za Singida hususani SUWASA na RUWASA.
Aidha amewataka wakazi wa Ipungi kutunza miundombinu ya maji kwani ujenzi wa Mradi huu ni Jitihada za Mhe. Rais Dkt. Samia.Suluhu Hassan katika kuhakikisha anatimiza ahadi ya kufikisha maji mjini kwa asilimia 95 na asilimia 85 vijijini.
Mradi huu unatekelezwa katika visima 5 ambavyo ni kwa maeneo ya Unyianga, Kibata- Mtamaa, Kisasida- Unyambwa, Unyamikumbi na Uhamaka ambapo Kauli mbiu katika katika matembezi ya Mwenge wa Uhuru 2025 ni "Jitokeze Kushiriki Uchaguzi Mkuu wa Mwaka 2025 kwa Amani na Utulivu"
