SINGIDA REGIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY VISITS MANGA WASTEWATER PROJECT

Singida Regional Administrative Secretary Dr. Fatuma Mganga, has visited the Manga Water Treatment Ponds Construction Project to inspect the project's progress.
Explaining the status of the project, Acting Managing Director Hosea Maghimbi stated that the project, valued at 1.73 billion Tanzanian shillings, has reached 71% of implementation. The construction of five wastewater treatment ponds has been completed.
He added that the project is expected to be completed by October 27, 2025, and the ongoing activities include the installation of a fence around the project site, the laying of sewage pipes between the ponds, and the completion of a laboratory for testing wastewater.
Dr. Fatuma commended the progress made and directed SUWASA to continue supervising the project effectively to achieve its goal of serving the public within the planned timeframe.
This project is expected to improve environmental sanitation in Singida Municipality, eliminate the risk of diarrhea and intestinal diseases, and enhance irrigation farming by providing treated water and quality fertilizer.

Amesema Mradi unatarajiwa kukamilika tarehe 27 Oktoba 2025 na Shughuli zinazoendelea kwa sasa, ni ufungaji wa fensi kuzunguka eneo la mradi, ulazaji wa mabomba ya kupitisha maji taka kati ya mabwawa na ukamilishaji wa Maabara ya kupima majitaka. Dkt. Fatuma amepongeza hatua iliyofikiwa na kuelekeza SUWASA kuendelea kusimamia vyema Mradi huo, ili kufikia lengo la Mradi la kuhudumia wananchi kwa wakati uliopangwa. Mradi huu unatarajia kuimarisha Usafi wa Mazingira katika Manispaa ya Singida, kuondoa hatari ya magonjwa ya kuhara na matumbo, kuimarisha kilimo cha umwagiliaji kwa kutoa maji yaliyotibiwa na mbolea bora.
